I recently added a MacBook Pro to my arsenal of working tools after playing around on it for a few months loving the experience. It made wonder why things were running so much smoother. For argument sake, Apple has the advantage of being much better optimized as they have a limited amount of hardware available. I don’t personally have a clear winner, as I use both. At the time of writing in my personal office, I use both a MacBook Pro and a gaming laptop running Windows 10. Before doing this one tweak, I noticed that my Windows laptop just did not perform well compared to my buttery smooth MacBook Pro experience. I am pleased to say that this one upgrade has narrowed the gap between the two in my case and could very well increase the overall usability of your current computer hardware.
Interesting Tech Tip: Upgrading your computers main hard drive to an SSD (Solid-State Drive) will make quite a difference, based on my own experience and research. The new drive on my laptop (Samsung SSD 850 pro) has really diminished the gap in speed between my MacBook Pro and it. If you have a slower machine that is not ancient, consider giving it a second a renewed life with an SSD hard drive. The upgrade is cheaper than purchasing a new machine. Other benefits besides a massive speed increase, includes more reliability, safer transportation, and potentially better battery life. Just thought I would share this tip 🙂
